The 1st Day of Christmas brings us:

Jennifer Raby is the artist and genius behind Little Bug Inspirations. While searching for alphabet and number artwork, for her precocious toddler, Jen found that the styles were limited and the prices were steep! She didn't want to cheat her son out of vital learning opportunities, but she couldn't bring her self to shell out $90 on a poster that didn't even match his bedroom decor.

Determined to provide the absolute best for her son, without breaking the bank, Jen set out to create an alphabet art print, unique to his style and personality.

Her love and effort clearly must have shown through, because she was inundated with purchase requests just hours after posting photos of her work on facebook.

Jen's business has grown significantly since that first poster she made for her son. Fueled by the belief that learning should, and can be fun, she continues to hand-make affordable custom artwork that captivates children's imagination and doesn't leave a dent in parents pocketbooks. Each custom print is individually designed and handcrafted. A pillow sham, a bedding pattern, or even a favorite toy can serve as inspiration for a beautiful and unique piece of educational artwork. In addition to Custom Prints, Little Bug Inspirations has a variety of Stock Prints inspired by children’s books, toys, and popular bedding patterns.

The pieces take approximately one week to create and complete, and Jen's hard work and dedication to her craft certainly shine through in each piece. In addition to hand cut and colored embellishments, Jen utilizes poster board, scrapbook paper, card stock, and stickers to create her mini-masterpieces. The posters are typically sized 12X18 and pricing starts at the astonishingly low rates of $15 for Stock items and $25 for custom work.

The bottom two pieces were custom designed around a print that hung in my own childhood room (depicted on the bottom right). I can now share a piece of my past with my son, while also teaching him fundamentals in an entertaining and captivating manner. And while Little Bug Inspirations has amazingly affordable rates anyways, how can you put a price on that?
